Connect Your Controller
How to Connect Xbox Controller
Wired Connection:
- Connect your Xbox controller to your computer using a USB cable.
- Your browser should automatically detect the controller.
- If not detected, try refreshing this page.
Wireless Connection:
- Turn on your Xbox controller by pressing the Xbox button.
- Using Bluetooth (newer controllers):
- Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button (small button next to the USB port) until the Xbox button begins to flash rapidly.
- On your computer, open Bluetooth settings and select "Xbox Wireless Controller" to pair.
- Using Xbox Wireless Adapter:
- Plug the Xbox Wireless Adapter into your computer.
- Press the pairing button on the adapter.
- Press and hold the pairing button on your controller until the Xbox button flashes.
Troubleshooting:
- Ensure your controller's firmware is up-to-date using the Xbox Accessories app (Windows) or Xbox system update (on console).
- Some browsers may require you to press a button on the controller after connecting to activate it.
- If using Chrome, check that the "gamepad" API is allowed in your browser settings.
Browser Compatibility:
- Best Support: Chrome, Edge, Opera (based on Chromium)
- Moderate Support: Firefox
- Limited Support: Safari
Note: After connecting your controller, you may need to press any button to activate it. The controller status above will update to "Connected" once input is detected.
